Hi Group
Its been awhile. Did ya miss me.?

I have a problem I would appreciate some input on. We are welding a trailer 
hitch. major heavy duty. F450

quarter inch plate. welding at a 90 degree right angle. we are starting at 
the center and working out. as indicated by the red arrows.

The part is warping in direction of the blue arrows. only about 3/19 th on 
each end but this is enough that on the next part marriage the part rocks 
and does not fit flush against the next part. customer is adamant  that it 
must.

Anyone have any ideas ?

I'm thinking the direction matters. or at lease tack the two ends and then 
weld from the center out.
