Hello

Not welding on the frame.
I have new leaf spring shackle brackets and leaf spring shackles.
The old leaf spring shackle brackets are held on by very rusty bolts.
going to cut the bolts and remove the old leaf spring brackets.
Bolt the new ones on. install the new leaf springs shackles.
the only welding is on the truck bed sheet bed, to patch the punch
through hole. The driver side leaf spring rear shackle punched through
the truck bed.

I am looking at pulling the truck bed off. I can then clean up the rust
on the towing gear and coat with rust preventive coating. The bumper is
fine no need to derust or replace. with the bed off I can take it to the
local body shop and have the rust in the wheel wells and by the
mudflaps taken care of.

they will sand and spray a bed liner in the bed.

I have enough oxygen and propane to cut the old bolts and leaf spring
shackle bolts.
i will use the millermatic 185 mig welder to weld the punch through hole.
