We got, yew know, mo-derny pets now. We pump our beetle and
digitally monitor our mouse.
The mouse -- blind and now elderly and deaf too -- has his exercise
wheel connected to a computer that can monitor how fast and far he
runs. (Four miles in one evening at average 2+ mph when he was
younger; now maybe max of 1000' in a good evening.)
Our Dytiscus water beetle lives in a fishbowl. He's carnivorous and a
messy eater so we have to pump the water out every couple of days and
replace it or it turns to murky slime. We don't have a place for a
proper filtered aquarium.
ObBlacksmithing:
Found the diving beetle crawling across the floor next to the anvil.
No idea how or why a water beetle would be wandering in such a
location.
