[TheForge] Landscaper's fee

When I worked for Collins Radio, I talked to one of the sales men about
their commission rates. And they had a sliding scale that went up the more
they sold. Something like 1% for the first $200K and then 1.5% after that.
It may have jumpet up to 2% at some point. Their systems were pretty
expensive, so I think they did OK.
When I'm at reenactments and one of my regular customers brings by a newbee
to get outfitted, I usually give them a break on the next thing they buy.

The flip side of that argument is why should TEN salesmen who each
sell $100k each get $10k in commission, yet the ONE salesman who can
bring in ten times the sales get less than ten time the commission?
