The last time I looked into it (which was maybe 15 years ago), it
was customary for interior designers to develop a string of
craftspeople and makers of one-off furniture, lamps, fixtures etc. who
would agree either (a) not to sell to the public at all or (b) never to
sell to the public for less that x% more that their prices to the
decorators.  In exchange, the decorators agreed to come to those
makers first when looking for unique items for their clients.

That probably doesn't translate very well for custom-made, hand-forged
metalwork such as fences, arbors and gates.

If the landscape designer or architect hasn't already proposed an
arrangement in which (s)he gets a discount, commission, fee or
percentage, I would go with the idea not offering that myself and of
making something fairly nice (small and not outrageously costly) for
the designer/architect who brought you the job.
