Been sitting in my shop, used once, since it was new 2 years ago.
Deterioration is *probably* not a problem.

Huh.  Might be fine on on the tee under the tank. Be a bit clunky --
clunkier than it already is -- on the gun/nozzle.  I'll think about
it.  That would save me welding or milling the tee unit and a pop-off
underneath the tank doesn't carry the risk of a pressure hose blowing
off in your face.  Hmmm...

No idea too hare-brained. I once made an adapter for a portapower to
expand the steel caps on a new pair of boots that turned out to pinch
my toes. (Didn't work; the caps were too springy.)
