[TheForge] historcial blacksmith status in the community

It's hard to say what a trend may be if one even exists. Women tend to be
more verbal than men, we're more visual so reading sticks with us better.
It's not a universal thing but it IS an observable trend. Kids these days
tend to spend lots of time texting rather than talking, I've seen pairs at
tables texting each other rather than talking. I'm thinking if we understood
more than LOL or OMG we'd be more able to "read" modern kid.

I was blessed with excellent reading comprehension and a near eidetic memory
for the written word, actually photographic in some cases but I had to focus
to be able to visualize near perfect recollections. Not so much after the
stupid tree though. <sigh> I find most kids don't have the attention span to
do well with either written or spoken messages, directions, etc. Of course
that may just be my old fart self not having the patience for kids.
