"Perhaps the worst aspect of organized religion is the way it is constantly 
reinterpreted by its currentpractitioners to suit their current prejudices or 
political desires."

Same is true of science, the constitution or Shakespeare unfortunately.   Its 
endemic to any human activity and will only end when the second coming or some 
cataclysm brought on by global warming take people out of the picture.   There 
is nothing so pure that the desires of man cannot corrupt it intentionally or 
otherwise.
