I'm in the process of building a new shop. I'm a retired hobbyist so don't really have an 'industrial' requirement but do expect to run a compressor, tumbler, arc welder, smallish power hammer (LG or possibly pneumatic), and other related though not particularly power sucking tools. The compressor and power hammer I don't yet have but I am looking into the various specs.

Any thoughts on the most appropriate/cost effective setup, i.e., the best electrical service plan that should cover eventualities that may not have struck me yet ?
