Have you spent much time using a forge with an electric blower?  A few years 
ago I thought about converting, but after many years of a hand crank, I just 
couldn't get used to electric.  It burns a lot more coal and is easy to 
overheat things if you don't really watch it. I'm back to hand crank.

If you can spend some time at a friends shop with electric, and make sure 
you really want to do this.
