As I recall from posts on another fora zirconia oxide ceramic vitrifies in 
the neighborhood of 3,800 - 4,000f  but that thread was running before I was 
injured so the numbers are hearsay from the guy with part of his brain 
missing.

What I do know though is my forge will hit temps well above the melting temp 
of wrought iron and ITC-100 is unaffected so that's in the range of 3,000f+.
