I remember looking down on the valley when i was a kid,( including Van Nuys) from Mullhulland and seeing a carpet of orchards all across the valley. Now it's paved and roofed over.
Fabulous depth of topsoil..i like to imagine it's down under the asphalt, waiting for folks to go away.
