[TheForge] broken anvil

Ben,
I don't have any experience with casting, so would gravitate to large blocks
of steel welded together and then welded to the anvil. We have a metel
recycler in Quincy that saves material that is still pretty clean and
resells to the public. That is where I got the plate I used to make my power
hammer base. Their yard was full of stuff that was just too nice to send off
to be remelted. I'm sure they get more from it by selling it to the end user
than the steel mill.

For base repair, is it reasonable to cast a molded fit/match, and then
braze or JB Weld it on?
