No.  JB weld, miraculous compound that it is, would not withstand 
prolonged impacts.  Brazing could be done, but the temper would be drawn 
out of the face.  It would also take a lot of heat to get a large mass 
up to brazing temperature.  And if you get too busy beering, the anvil 
will end up like the BAM example. :)  I so want that anvil.
