Not quite blacksmithing, but the Slater Mill historical museum in "far" Pawtucket, as the locals say, which is a northern suburb of Providence, is very interesting- water wheel powered, overhead line shafts, and working textile machinery, including, the last time I was there, a 100 year old argyle sock knitting machine.
