[TheForge] reversal of fortunes in a blink of an eye

I had this happen to me last year. Some one started using my ATM
card for all kinds of crap, looked like it was sold to a hacker site
as many purchases from different areas. There was no problem with any
fraudulent charges. I just had to identify the fraudulent charges and
the bank returned the money to my account. We notified the credit
agencies got new card etc. A big pain in the ass but not really a big
deal overall. So I think your friend needs to look into this more, if
there is fraud involved the debts are legally not his responsibility.
So either there is more to this than he is letting on or he has a
really crappy lawyer.
