hello;

a quick question. to prevent a heavy vehicle from making ruts in the
yard area what have members of theforge e-mail list used to spread the
weight load across the ground?

i was thinking of using planking, 2x10 by 10 ft. my daughter suggested
sheets of expanded steel about 3/8 of an inch thick to perhaps 1/4 of an
inch thick.

my friend charlie, has suggested that we should just get a crane that
can lift the brick pallets from the front of the house over the house to
the back of the house. others have suggested that we just move the
bricks with a turf tired wagon and restack them in the back. their
reasoning is that we have enough man power to do that and it saves
money. my son justs suggests that we wait until the weather changes and
the ground dries out so that we can move the construction equipment
around without worries of making ruts. my son has been using a lawn
roller to get the ruts out of the yard. some areas he has had to fill in
with either crushed stone or top soil.

i really have not settled on moving the bricks since it has been raining
alot the past two days. more rain is on tap for this afternoon and
evening.
