Ron, Try any acid. I'd try phospho soak or paint it on and rub after a few minutes. Brass lovers will tell you not to use it but it will get rid of the tarnish (and a little brass) in a jiffy. I found this out when I spilled a bit on some tarnished brass and it was clean before I had a chance to get the acid off. Jeff Valentine
