Sounds like fun. I know people who are into SCA and a few of them are
members of our group. I wonder if some of them will be there, anyway, I hope
you find the anvil and kiln you need.

Have a good time.
Rob

Rob,
The event is an SCA event called the War of the Lilies. It lasts
10 days. It attracts about 1800 medieval reenactors and about 30
sellers of period gear. It's held at Kelsey Short Youth Camp,
Smithville Lake. There are lots of battles in full armour with 100s on
each side, archery competitions for all ages, classes on a large
variety arts and sciences: smithing, pottery, paper making,
embroidery, chasing and repoussé, etc.

The URL is http://www.calontir.sca.org/lilieswar/lilies22/index.html

The few blacksmith's who attend, tend to concentrate on camping gear
like cooking tripods, free standing grills, fire tools, etc. We do a
few demos and some smaller class (s-hooks, etc). A few armour makers
attend also. It's one of three trips we make every summer. There
are plays in the evening, feasts, activities for our children, etc.
It's lots of fun, we make a little money and we camp in a huge 14x18
canvas tent.
