Yeah, as I recall, for sea urchins, too, with a wet suit supplied with hot
water from a gas household gas heater. We put a lotta bad stuff in our
lungs in California in the 60's. (My sculptor friend was in Claremont at
the time) I don't know about the compressors, but the key word here is
"hooka". I'm sure there was a funky filter system in those, sisnce that
component was designed for diving. So it took years instead of minutes.
