I thought a 25# weighs about 1200 and a 50# weights 1800
Brought home a 25 with a Chevy LUV little PU.  Very thing went fine but when
I hooked the chain and started lifting the truck kept coming up and up.
The problem with that auction is it is just down the road from Sid at
Nebraska City so you probably know who you are bidding against.

    I have a heads up for a sale in Omaha, Neb. coming up on the 22nd. 
It is for IRONCRAFT OF OMAHA  -  BOB CALDWELL, OWNER. Retirement and 
selling out all equipment and stock. This includes two trip hammers. 
Mayer Bros. Pedestal Industrial Trip Hammer on Stand. Antique Little 
Giant Pedestal-type Industrial Trip Hammer on Stand. I may be tempted to 
make the trip to see them and possibly bid them up a bit.

    I was also hoping someone could give me a ball park range on what 
these trip hammers might weigh? Is a 3/4 ton pick up sufficient or do I 
need something bigger?
