Have you ever heard of "hurdles"?  An old English
handicraft of weaving wythies over a series of rods. 
end product is perhaps 4' square with a hole in the
center for "stringing" a bunch of them on a pole for
carrying about.  The bottom ends were pointed to jab 
into the ground.  Portable fencing.  100% organic. 8^)
