They left me a message on my cell phone that my order was ready to pick
up. So that will afford me a LOT of time to look around. The woman told
me that as far as alloy / 10xx steel goes, they don't list what they
have. You have to go out and see what they have in stock. So that is
what I will be looking for tomorrow.Last trip I got a nice base plate
that I will mount my bender to from there. It was a 3/8ths X 22 X 25 and
that cost $23.50. It was a piece that was laying on the ground in front
of one of the buildings. So I asked the guy if I could take it and he
said that EVERYTHING was for sale....Ha...I love that place. I'm glad I
am not closer...Bout an hr away...Good thing!!

If you calculate with steel weighing 500 pounds per cubic foot and cast
iron at 450 pounds per cubic foot, you'll be within ~2% of the actual
weight. Just calculate the volume of the pieces (LxWxH).

btw I bought some steel drops at Fazzio's a couple of weeks ago. The
price was $0.55/pound.

I glanced at their price book for new A-36 steel and it was all in the
range of $0.53-$0.58/pound.
