I agree that a heavy enough slip roll will make the pipe shapes
(cylinders). Of course that won't crimp one end or make a seam to snap
the two edges together. When I made mine I just used a 10 x 4 foot
piece of ss and a brake and made my pipe square. Square handles 20
percent volume than round of the same diameter. See this:

If you can get by with 45* in stead of 90* you will have a lot less
trouble getting the smoke out.
