Daniel;
If you weld 2 pieces of stout pipe, 2 ' long, at right angles to 
a beam, about 1/8" apart... that will form a bending jig for youy 
flat sheet. Feed it in a little at a time and push down to bend 
it a bit, push a little more sheet between the pipes and repeat. 
Keep that up and you will have a cyl, ready to weld. I'm sure you 
can fake the crimps or stretch the top of one side of the joint 
over the anvil horn. Cut and weld for angles.
That factory stuff is expensive, but if you hang around when the 
local deep fry place goes out of business,,,,,...pf
