I'm not aware that soap can be melted.  Perhaps it decomposes on
melting?  I can't find a melting point listed for soap or for sodium
stearate.  (I haven't tried real hard.)

However, milling and reforming of soap is a common process.  You can do
it by hand with a kitchen grater.

can you 'melt'? and reshape (rebar!!) small pieces of soap?
