i have two post vises mounted.
post vise mounts:
100 lbs propane cylinder cut at 32 inches.
the cut edge was rounded over using a grinder and files.
a wooded plug was made from 2x8 lumber.
3 layers of 2x8 bolted together with seams and joints
staggered.
the post vise is bolted to the wooden plug
the bottom of the propane cylinder is filled with sand.
if you want to you can drill a number of holes in the cylinder walls for
lag screws. the lag screws would secure the wooden plug inside the
cylinder.
easy to move with a dolley.
