[TheForge] Capacity of Electrical wire

I don't think I have ever used a 6 foot ground rod, an
8 foot one yes. But for this due to the distance and
all of that I have put in a 1 inch by 12 foot ground
rod.

The panel is a 200 amp due to size and price, with
various breakers in it. with a sub panel for 20 amp
breakers for the lights and the garage door. Even thou
most things will not be in common usage, they all will
have a breaker and a seperate wire run. I get to do
this one time because of money and family, so I am
doing this right.

The TIG welder will have 4 gauge in conduit, it's a
Lincoln Precision TIG 275.

The knee mill and the lath have DROs so they need 120
volts to them, as well as 240 to the machines.

The compressor is a 120/240 6Hp.

All have seperate breakers and wire. Now its getting
100 or 150 amp service to the shop, or maybe 200 if
possible.

What John mentioned about farmers doubling and
tripling up on the meter connection is common around
here.

There will be a quick disconnect between the house and
the shop.
