Are you sure about that Dan?   I don't have it memorized, but as I 
recall the NEC wanted all grounds bonded at the main disconnect, and 
running a seperate ground was a no-no.   Was common at one time for pool 
pumps and well pumps maybe.   Any how, not sure, it just stirred a brain 
cell.
