A good reason to buy welding leather if I ever heard one. A couple of minor 
burns when I started years ago was enough to teach me to stay covered by 
leather if possible or thick cloth like dungaree or Carhartt (The cloth and 
the leather can burn, but not from the arc rays) Even light welding can 
give burns, larger wire and TIG really boost the arc ray power
A set of Cape sleeves and bib front(3XL) cost me $45 last time I bought it, 
cheap if you save your skin. I go through a set or two a year as the sweat 
in the summer kills them or at least makes them undesirable to wear
