Yes, I think so. There was already a project afoot to find a
clubhouse. Maybe the hammer will lend a little additional impetus.

The NS Antique Engine & Tractor club has had real good results by
contracting with the Windsor Exhibition -- the oldest agricultural
exhibition/fair in Canada -- to build a clubhouse & workshop on the
exhibition grounds. They agreed to build the building and put on an
engine & tractor show once a year. The Ex provides access to
utilities, some security and a long-term lease.
There's a vacant building near me that would be splendid, a
warehouse-sized place on a main highway but without near neighbors to
be bothered. Only it isn't central to the region our club serves,
kinda like building the NH clubhouse in Odell. :-)
In 1850 the town of Odell had a population of one. In 1860 that
resident had either died or moved away.

There's a couple of historic "villages" and a Museum of Industry. But
all such sites in NS are, AFAIK, government museum entities. I'm not
part of the team that's pursuing this, probably a good thing, since
the idea of trying to negotiate with the gummint over something like a
clubhouse for a NGO gives me the willies. A more even-tempered person
might actually be able to explore it as a productive strategy.
