	Mike,
Sounds like the start of a good thing. Don't put up a building on leased
land like our club did - waaaaaay to many hassles! Finding something like a
historic farm, machine museum, etc.......that'll want it around and have
folks come by to use it on site.

The upper midwest smiths found a site like this - the pioneer village -
they work on projects for the village in the blacksmith shop and get to hold
meets there - it works well for them.

That has happened. The Maritime Blackmiths have a hammer. It's been
moved to Bill Fleming's shop. There's to be a meet at his shop end of
the month. Good project to get it cleaned up and working.

Bill hired a crane truck and I gather with that rig it was a piece of
cake. John Bragg, the owner of the company that had the hammer, very
generously donated it to the group so transport and restoration are
the only costs.

Now the MBA just needs to find a way to get a permanent space to put
it in so that we can have meets, do workshops and seminars and so on.
Some of the guys are working on that.
