That's just right for some nice door latches.  For a latch handle,
it'll get worked all over so the shiny CR surface will be gone.

Will people buy door latches and pull-handles at that kind of event?
Seems like they'd be as good as pot racks.  (Or do you mean campfire
pot racks?)

How about boot scrapers?  Scraper bar mortised into two ornamented
verticals, press into the ground so gentlemen can clean their boots
before entering the Officer's Mess Tent?
