Frosty and Darrel,
I saw one long ago. I think it had feet the spread out from the base and
then stick into the ground, but they did not use tripods at the ends. The one I
remember had 3 chickens cooking from it and a big pot of stew, so it must have
been pretty stable. I am trying to remember the design but it ain't coming. If
I put an angled bar from the top of one to the bottom on another it would
stablize it but that doesn't seem right from what I saw.....darn..I wish I had
taken a picture but I wasn't working iron back then, I was working wood.....I
have made viking tripods and ACW tripods.
Dan C....If you can email me the pictures, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
