Several of my best references have passed away now, but there are still 
a number of good boiler guys around, if you need, I can maybe put you 
in touch with some.  I have done boiler work on at least 20 old 
traction engines, about a dozen locomotives, and have built several 
boilers, including a traction-engine-sized locomotive type boiler from 
scratch. I feel comfortable with my skills and experience, , but I am 
always eager to work with and share notes with other boiler makers, I 
can always learn something new.
