Bruce- not to denigrate Tom's vast store of knowledge on the subject in 
any way- but another guy who knows a lot about rivetting boilers is Joe 
Michaels, who hangs out over on the practical machinist site- you can 
get his contact info there. He is an engineer who, in his spare time, 
does the engineering for a lot of stationary steam engines and 
locomotive rebuilds. He also has done a lot of hands on boiler 
rebuilding work himself.
