When the gvt is involved there *can* be some weird stuff in defense
contracts. It was the gvt that paid the tab, not the shipyard- 

Some of the old anchor chain was wrought iron- does anyone know when its use
was discontinued? Never forged any of it, but heard it is a joy to work.
