[TheForge] Sheet vs plate

I getting old or tired or both -- in the for "what it worth" aluminum foil
is 0.005 and below sheet is 0.006 and above. In house we use 1/8 inch or
0.125 and the cut off between sheet and plate. This was because 0.125 was
the common light end of hot rolling, although some aluminum is hot rolled to
below 0.125 today.
In steel a whole lot of material is hot rolled down to much thinner gauges.
Still there is a overlap between plate and sheet -- sheet going up to 4
gauge (0.224) and plate going down to 3/16 or (0.188)
