Powells is a great place to go. I used to spend hours there. They are
good for used books too, if a little pricey.

Az long as you're not in the valley. Phoenix is not such a hot place,
and towns like Mesa are really awful. But I like Flagstaff and little
Williams. not sure I'd ever want to go back there to live, though. I'm
too addicted to water, methinks. Like you, the heat doesn't bother me
at all, wet or dry.

I could bang iron all day at, say 110, but above that I just couldn't
do it. And it's downright discouraging to open your truck window, put
your arm out and feel hotter, rather than cooler, but at 118* that's all
you get.
