Back in 1990 I applied to do my PhD. As I contemplated just how burned
out I was after completing my MS, and that the Doctorate would not bring
me a penny more in the way of cashola, and the fact that I'd learned all
I wanted to learn of theoretical computing and AI, I came rapidly to my
senses and bailed.
