Can't help agreeing. Anybody who'd beat up an elder like that is a good 
candidate for retroactive abortion, IMHO, preferably judicially, but a 
necktie party would also serve if one could be _certain_ not to have 
the wrong person. :)

I've long been a proponent of the reestablishment of Outlawry.

One who refuses to submit to the law should forfeit its protection as 
well. Wonder how some crooks might behave after learning they're fair 
game for anyone, for any reason -- or none. (OK, that _is_ a little 
over the top, but you get the idea, eh?)
