Jim,

Makes perfect since, I should have factored that in.  Yes, we have a Trace 
DR2436 inverter.  It works well but the modified sine wave does cause a few 
problems with audio equipment and variable speed tools.  I'm hoping to 
replace it with two Outback sine wave models.  The radio station sounds 
like an interesting set up.
