Grover,
I didn't mean the hobbiest were the problem. B/S'ing will always need them.
I just note that even in demo's, the pros do it different. Like Jeff told
St. Francis, "I need to mig it, you don't have three kids to
put through school". In reference to forge welding.
But isn't it nice to have a hobby that, at retirement, you CAN make money
at.
Honey, it ain't a bass boat.
Ahhh. That's what the words appeared to say<G>. That's why I went easy on
you this time, but not the next<G>!!!
Working on the "making money" part.
I just used one of those cheap benders I got a while back. Harbor Freight.
Does what it says it will do. The handle extension is a little micky mouse
and will give up after a while. Other than that, works. Note that a person
has to be real careful about feeding the metal into it. It's easy to get it
crooked and end up with a corkscrew bend instead of an even on the same
plane bend. A spacer of wood would help, and will be used in the future<G>.
Yes. Some folks like to play around and see what they can do. Others have
to do it quick. I try to not waste my time, but do enjoy coming up with new
things. Sometimes I'm the bug, sometimes I'm someone else's teeth<G>.
