[TheForge] Re: morphed GAS FORGE QUESTION

Ron,

When I first put the thing together I dialled up 15lb of gas and put a
squirrel cage blower on that is about 6" diameter by 8" wide...and I
had a blue afterburner jet out the port about 5' long. Andrea dubbed it
"my little box of hell." It was LOUD. I swapped blowers to one about 4"
wide by 5" diameter, which I fancy is about the recommended 105 ppm,
and dialled back to 3-4lb of gas. Now I can actually put things in the
port and hear people talk. As for "pretty quiet" I can take a video in
the next couple of days and put it on my site so you can compare, if
you like. I use 3/4" black pipe for the gas (except for the line form
the tank, which is 3/8" flex) so I think I have relatively high
volume/gas speed, but it speeds up when it goes through the 3/8"
injector nipples.

Cheers,

JRF
