I have repaired several exhaust manifolds using a wire feed mig. Start a
fire[wood] and put the manifold in it. Let the manafold get good and hot.
Take it out and weld it with the mig. Put it back in the fire, cover the
fire [I use a old hood] and leave it there until the fire is out and the ash
is cool. Have had good luck with this. Yes, I know that mig isn't suppost to
work with cast, but I have had success.
