I agree.
Besides, who among us won't lock down when approached with such well
intentioned benevolence? Along the lines of "I'm from the government, I'm
here to help" Calvinism/manifest destiny were very well intentioned, just
had to beat the savages/kafirs into submission, ungrateful lot. (ok, an
extreme example but still benevolence) Such pride and insight often come
through an untrustworthy lense. My alcoholic brother can see with perfect
clarity what everyone else needs to do to be a better person. 'Tis always a
journey from within, I just keep running into brick walls :) I think it's
simply enough to make info available and try to make a buck in the process.
Such motivations tend to be much more transparent and trustworthy, and leave
us all to our own journey.
