	I agree 100% with this.  One thing about many smiths that I
	don't understand is this apparent compulsion to use junk,
	and I mean junk.  Some smiths are very penny-wise/pound 
	foolish folks.  I think it stems from a	failure to carefully 
	consider the larger consequences of their choices.  It's like 
	the knife makers using scrap steel whose composition and 
	history isn't known to build a $1000 knife.  Lunacy.

	Some tools, I daresay most in fact, are worth paying for.
	It may pinch a bit more now, but in the end you're glad
	you bit the bullet.  At least that has been my experience.
