Not that I have ever tried this as a coating. But every time I use hot
glue for other stuff I seem to have a problem with it peeling off.
Wouldn't it do the same on steel? In otherwords it does not seem to bond
well to metal so it would seem to me that water/moisture will get under
it and then you will have accelerated rusting.
