You know, guys, I really hate to make a practical suggestion, while you guys
are so busy working out your theories, but rather than /a/rg/ , er,
"discussing" the potential properties of hot glue as a metal coating, why
don't you just put it on something you've cleaned up appropriately, and
stick it out in your yard, with maybe a similar, untreated piece, and if you
want to be REALLY scientific, some pieces treated with other known or
suspected rust inhibitors, and try it? I figure in a month or two, you'll
have your answer...
Mean time, I'm going to go look for some more pallets to turn into Useful
Stuff for the Shop....
