If quenching is how you anneal ss....How do you harden it without work
hardening?

I made stainless ulu and I want to harden it. The knife is polished and
done but I don't want to hit it. It would ruin the finish.

I soldered a pair of glasses with brass frames. After I finished soldering
them, they were too soft. I taped them on top of the washing machine and
left them there for about 2 weeks. The vibrations hardened the brass. would
that work with stainless. Is there a more direct immeidiate way?

Isn't sanity really just a one trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one
trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazyooh hoo hoo hoothe
sky's the limit!
